Saints Worked Out Three Players

According to Howard Balzer, the New Orleans Saints brought in three free agents for tryouts on Wednesday including LB Vontarrius Dora, LB Davis Tull and DE Joby Saint Fleur.

Dora, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana Tech back in May of 2016. He was, unfortunately, waived coming out of the preseason last year but was later signed to the team’s practice squad.

The Broncos waived Dora coming out of the preseason, but he managed to sign on to the Cardinals’ practice squad a month ago. Unfortunately, the Cardinals released him a few weeks ago.

During his college career at La Tech, Dora recorded 145 tackles, 23.5 tackles for a loss, 13.5 sacks, four pass defenses, three fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles over the course of four seasons.

Tull, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Saints back in 2015. He managed to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season but was, unfortunately, cut loose coming out of the preseason last year.

Tull signed onto the Falcons’ practice squad last October and was on and off of the unit throughout the season. The Rams signed Tull to a contract during the preseason only to cut him loose a few weeks later.

Tull has yet to appear in a regular season NFL game.
