Saints Worked Out Veteran OT Will Beatty

According to Ian Rapoport, the Saints recently brought in free agent OT Will Beatty for a workout.

Rapoport adds that Beatty is the best available offensive tackle and it possible there could be interest in him after a few teams sustained injuries at offensive tackle.

Beatty worked out for the Jets back in August but was signed to a contract following the session.

Beatty, 32, is a former second-round pick of the Giants back in 2009. He spent all six years of his career in New York before he was released in a move that freed up $4,175,000 in available cap space for the Giants.

Beatty’s 2015 season ended when tore his pectoral muscle while working in the weight room. The Giants later re-signed him to a one-year, $1.1 million contract at the start of last season.

In 2016, Beatty appeared in seven games for the Giants.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
