Saints Working Out OL Mike Person & LS Jeff Overbaugh

According to Aaron Wilson, the New Orleans Saints are bringing in free agent OL Mike Person for a visit on Friday.

  • Herbie Teope reports that the Saints are working out a handful of long snappers Friday including Jeff Overbaugh.

Person, 29, is a former seventh-round pick of the 49ers back in 2011. He spent just over a year in San Francisco before playing for a number of teams including the Colts, Seahawks and Rams.

The Falcons elected to sign Person to a three-year contract back in March of 2015. However, he was released during the season last year and eventually signed by the Chiefs.

Kansas City brought him back this past March but he was, unfortunately, among their final roster cuts last weekend.

In 2015, Person appeared in 14 games for the Falcons.

Overbaugh, 23, wound up signing on with the as an undrafted free agent out of San Diego State back in June of last year. He was, unfortunately, waived during the preseason and sat out the entire 2016 season.

The Broncos signed him to a future/reserve contract this past January, only cut him loose a few days after this year’s draft. Overbaugh signed on with the Bears a few weeks ago but lasted less than a week in Chicago.

Overbaugh has yet to appear in an NFL game.
