Sam Bradford’s Agent Confirms They Pushed For Trade With Broncos

Sam Bradford‘s agent Tom Condon confirmed during an appearance on Rich Eisen show that he thought the Broncos were going to be landing spot for his client.

We thought we had a chance to go to a really good football team and be there for a long time,” Condon said. “And that opportunity was there and actually the attempt was made.

“When the Broncos contacted the Eagles and talked about the trade, they couldn’t agree on the price and so they drafted somebody in the first round,” Condon continued. “Now, at that point, our options are pretty limited. So our next best option is to go back and prepare for the season.”

Adam Caplan added that the Eagles had no interest in trading Bradford, despite his request.

Bradford officially ended his brief holdout earlier in the week, and now plans to prepare for the 2016 season.

However, Condon implies that they plan to explore potential options with other teams again next year.

Philadelphia has maintained that Bradford will be their starter, even after they used the No. 2 overall pick on Carson Wentz.

Bradford, 28, signed a two-year, $36 million contract that included $26 million guaranteed with the Eagles over a month ago. He stands to make base salaries of $7 million and $13 million over the next two years.

In 2015, Bradford appeared in 14 games for the Eagles and threw for 3,725 yards while completing 65 percent of his passes to go along with 19 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.

We’ll have more regarding Bradford’s future as the news is available.
