Sammy Watkins’ Deal With Bills Reportedly Disapproved

Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports reports that Sammy Watkins‘ deal with the Buffalo Bills was disapproved, presumably by the NFL.

  • Garafolo adds that a “minor language tweak” was made to Watkins’ deal and has been resubmitted.

Watkins signed his contract with the Bills last week.  The four-year contract was worth an estimated $19,935,598 and included a signing bonus of $12,818,620 , according to OverTheCap.com.

It seems likely that Watkins could end up being the Bills No. 1 receiver from Day one. They also traded for veteran WR Mike Williams a few months ago and have 2013 second-round pick Robert Woods in the mix as well.

During his three years at Clemson, Watkins totaled 240 receptions for 3,391 yards receiving and 28 total touchdowns.
