Santonio Holmes Expects To Miss The First Four Games Of The Season

According to the Brian Costello of the New York Post, Jets WR Santonio Holmes has reportedly told friends that he expects to miss at least the first four games of the season.

Holmes, 29, suffered a Lisfranc fracture last season and has undergone multiple surgeries to repair the injury. As of now, Holmes cannot run or participate in any team activities, so it’s not all that surprising that to hear he could be out for part of the season.

Holmes stands to make a guaranteed $7.5 million from the Jets in 2013 and is an obviously release candidate next offeason.
