Schefter: Ravens Could Look For CB Help At The Trade Deadline

ESPN’s Adam Schefter mentioned on Monday Night Countdown that he expects the Ravens to make calls around the league regarding potential cornerbacks that could be available.

Top cornerback Jimmy Smith is expected to be out for “a few weeks” after he was carted off the field with a foot injury during the first quarter of Sunday’s Week 8 game.

There hasn’t been many cornerbacks mentioned as potential trade targets in the past few weeks. However, the Packers are one team with a decent amount of depth at cornerback that could at least consider parting ways with one of their players for a draft pick.

Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel specifically mentions that Davon House, Casey Hayward and Micah Hyde as three players GM Ted Thompson should consider parting with if the right offer is presented to him.

It’s worth mentioning that these are speculative options and there have been no reports indicating that Green Bay willing to trade any of their players.

We’ll have more updates regarding potential trades as the news is available.
