Seahawks Activate CB Jeremy Lane, Waive RB Bryce Brown

The Seattle Seahawks announced that they’ve activated CB Jeremy Lane from the PUP list and waived RB Bryce Brown to make room for Lane.

Lane, 25, was placed on the PUP list at the start of the regular season to give him time to recover from his ACL surgery.

He’s in the final year of his four-year, $2,225,112 rookie contract that included a $125,112 signing bonus. Lane will make a base salary of $660,000 this season before testing the open marker next year.

In 2014, Lane appeared in seven games and recorded 13 tackles, a forced fumble and three pass defenses.

Brown, 24, is a former seventh round pick of the Eagles back in 2012. However, he lasted less than two years in Philadelphia before he was traded to the Bills. Buffalo ultimately waived Brown a few weeks into the regular season.

The Seahawks wound up signing Brown to a contract close to a month ago, but elected to cut him loose last week.
