Seahawks Also Hosting QB Austin Davis On A Visit

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Seahawks are also hosting free agent QB Austin Davis on a visit Wednesday along with Colin Kaepernick.

This is the first reported interest in Davis since he worked out for the Ravens back in January.

Davis, 27, originally signed on with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Miss back in 2012. He lasted just over a year with the Rams before signing on to the Dolphins’ practice squad at the start of the 2013 season.

Davis returned to the Rams a few months later but was cut loose at the start of last year and eventually signed by the Browns. Unfortunately, Cleveland waived him coming out of the preseason before the Broncos added him to their active roster at the start of the season.

Denver elected to move on from Davis in December after they needed a roster spot.

In 2015, Davis appeared in three games for the Browns and threw for 547 yards while completing 59.6 percent of his passes to go along with one touchdown and three interceptions.
