Seahawks Bringing In TE Jared Cook For Visit

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Seahawks are bringing in free agent TE Jared Cook for a visit in the coming days.

This is the first reported interest in Cook since the Packers surprisingly elected to move on and sign Martellus Bennett to a contract instead.

The Lions, Bills and Bears all came up as potential landing spots for Cook, but both the Bears and Lions have added tight ends in recent days.

The Seahawks are interesting situation, as Jimmy Graham is in the final year of his contract and Luke Wilson is currently a free agent.

Cook, 29, is a former third-round pick by the Titans in the 2009 NFL Draft. He played out his rookie contract with Tennessee before signing a big-money deal with the Rams as a free agent back in 2013.

After he was released by the Rams, the Packers signed Cook to a one-year, $2.75 million last offseason.

In 2016, Cook appeared in 10 games for the Packers and recorded 30 receptions for 377 yards receiving, one touchdown, and lost one fumble. Pro Football Focus graded him as the No. 11 overall tight end out of 63 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
