The Seattle Seahawks have claimed DE Demarcus Dobbs off of waivers from the San Francisco 49ers on Wednesday, according to Wesley Spencer.

The 49ers decision to part ways with Dobbs is likely to open a roster spot for DL Glenn Dorsey, who is available to come off of the injured reserve list.
Dobbs, 26, signed on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia back in 2011. He signed a one year contract worth $1.43 million with San Francisco during the offseason.
He has appeared in six games for the 49ers and recorded 10 tackles while playing a total of 79 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
