Seahawks Claim DT A.J Francis Off Waivers From Dolphins, Cut DT David King

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Seahawks have claimed DT A.J Francis off of waivers from the Dolphins on Monday.

  • The Seahawks waived DT David King in a corresponding move.

Francis, 25, signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Maryland back in 2013. He was unable to make the 53-man roster during his rookie and was waived at the start of the season.

The Patriots later claimed him off of waivers, but Francis elected to return to the Dolphins later on in 2013 before signing one-year, $510,000 contract with Miami back in March.

The Dolphins waived him last week to make room for LB Mike Hull.

This season, Francis has appeared in one game and recorded a single tackle for the Dolphins.
