Seahawks Cut CB Terrell Thomas & DE/OLB Jackson Jeffcoat

 

The Seattle Seahawks have begun the process of trimming their roster to 75 as they have parted ways with veteran CB Terrell Thomas and notable undrafted rookie DE/OLB Jackson Jeffcoat, according to Tom Pelissero.

Thomas, 29, signed on with the Seahawks a few months ago. He was once a very promising player in the league, but he has unfortunately suffered three ACL tears over the course of his career.

He missed all of 2011 and 2012 due to ACL tears, but he managed to return last year and play in all 16 games for the Giants. Thomas finished the season with 67 tackles, a sack, an interception and a forced fumble.

Jeffcoat, 22, was a highly recruited players coming out of high school He shouldn’t have trouble finding another opportunity.

During his four years at Texas, Jeffcoat recorded 174 tackles, 49.5 tackles for a loss, 26 sacks, one interception and four forced fumbles.
