Seahawks DB Dewey McDonald Likely Done For Year With Torn ACL

Ian Rapoport reports Seahawks DB Dewey McDonald is believed to have torn his ACL during Sunday’s loss to the Titans.

According to Rapoport, McDonald will undergo an MRI on his knee Monday to confirm the severity of the injury but it’s likely that his 2017 season is over.

Seattle will likely place McDonald on injured reserve in the coming days.

McDonald, 27, originally signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of  California (PA) back in 2014. He lasted over a year in Indianapolis before he was waived during the 2015 season and later claimed off of waivers by the Patriots.

McDonald eventually landed with the Raiders towards the end of the season before he was traded to the Seahawks last year for a conditional seventh-round pick coming out of the preseason.

The Seahawks re-signed McDonald to a one-year exclusive rights contract this offseason.

In 2017, McDonald appeared in three games for the Seahawks and made one tackle.
