Seahawks & DE Chris Clemons Working On A Contract Extension

John Clayton of ESPN reports that despite skipping the Seahawks minicamp, DE Chris Clemons and the Seahawks are “trying to work out an extension.”

Clemens was fined¬†$63,000 for missing this week’s mandatory workouts, but he’s obviously concerned about a much larger figure than that.

Clemons has anchored the Seahawks defensive line since head coach Pete Carroll took over the team in 2010, but they are now focused on locking up their up and coming defensive line, in which they added DE Bruce Irvin during the draft.¬†Seattle is obviously hoping that they’ll have a pair of dominant pass-rushers in the coming years.
