Seahawks DE Dion Jordan Out 6-8 Weeks Following Knee Surgery

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll announced Thursday that DE Dion Jordan recently underwent a cleanup knee surgery and is expected to miss the next 6-8 weeks, per James Palmer.

Jordan, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2010. He had two years remaining on his four-year, $20.572 million rookie contract when the Dolphins cut him loose.

The Dolphins traded up to No. 3 overall to select Jordan, but he hasn’t come anywhere close to living up to his draft status and has been suspended twice since entering the NFL for performance-enhancing drug violations and undergone two knee surgeries.

The Seahawks signed him to a one-year, $640,000 contract last offseason and placed him on the NFI list before activating him in November. Seattle brought Jordan back on a restricted deal worth around $1.9 million for the 2018 season.

In 2017, Jordan appeared in five games for Seattle and recorded 18 total tackles, four sacks, and one forced fumble.
