Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Seahawks are expected to promote RB Troymaine Pope to their active roster.

This comes after the surprising news that the Seahawks placed RB Christine Michael on waivers Tuesday.

Pope, 22, wound up signing on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Jacksonville State back in May. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later claimed off of waivers by the Jets.

New York elected to cut Pope loose a few weeks ago but he later signed on to the Seahawks’ practice squad.

In 2016, Pope has appeared in one game and ran for one yard on a single carry for the Jets.
