Seahawks Expected To Sign WR Morrell Presley

Jayson Jenks of the Seattle Times is “hearing” that the Seahawks are expected to sign WR Morrell Presley to a contract.

This news comes just a few hours after the veteran WR Sidney Rice elected to call it a career and retire from the NFL.

Presley, 23, went undrafted out of California (Pa.) University, but wound up trying out for the Seahawks during their rookie mini-camp in May of this year.

It’s worth mentioning that Seahawks HC Pete Carroll actually recruited Presley to attend USC, but he ultimately committed to UCLA where he spent two years.

During his time at UCLA, Presley appeared in 17 games and caught 11 passes for 63 yards receiving.
