Seahawks Expected To Tryout CBs Byron Maxwell & Trovon Reed

Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times is hearing that the Seahawks are expected to try out free agent cornerbacks Byron Maxwell and Trovon Reed.

Maxwell recently worked out for the Falcons, but he wasn’t signed to a contract following the session.

Maxwell, 29, is a former sixth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2011. He signed a six-year, $63 million contract that included $25 million guaranteed with the Eagles as a free agent before he was later traded to the Dolphins along with LB Kiko Alonso.

Maxwell was set to make a base salary of $10 million for the 2017 season when the Dolphins released him a few weeks ago.

In 2017, Maxwell was active for just two games and recorded eight tackles, no interceptions or pass defenses and a forced fumble.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
