Seahawks Fire OC Darrell Bevell

Curtis Crabtree reports that the Seattle Seahawks have fired offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell after seven seasons. According to Crabtree, Bevell was told of the decision Tuesday night.

Bevell, 48, began his NFL coaching career with the Packers as an assistant quarterbacks coach in 2000. He eventually worked his way up to QBs coach before being hired by the Vikings as their offensive coordinator in 2006.

After five years in Minnesota, Bevell signed on with the Seahawks for the 2011 season and spent the past seven years in Seattle.

In 2017, the Seahawks’ offense was No. 15 in total yards, No. 11 in points scored, No. 23 in yards rushing and No. 14 in passing offense.
