John Schneider, General Manager of the Seattle Seahawks, was a guest on SiriusXM radio this morning. To no surprise, he was asked about the latest news surrounding second-year player Bruce Irvin‘s four game suspension for using a banned performance enhancing drug.
Schneider reiterated that the Seahawks go “above and beyond what the league has done” to make sure the franchise’s players are aware of what substances are banned and which are legal.
He further went on to call this suspension a “very disappointing” but ” a learning situation” nonetheless. Schneider also added that this is clearly an issue the league needs to address.
Under head coach Pete Carroll, the Seahawks have had more players banned for PED related instances.
