Seahawks & HC Pete Carroll Working On An Extension

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Seahawks and HC Pete Carroll are working on a contract extension.

  • Rapoport expects Carroll to remain one of the highest-paid coaches in the NFL when/if they’re able to get a new deal in place.

Carroll is in the final year of his contract, and there has been some speculation about his future with the team. However, it appears as though there is mutual interest in him remaining in Seattle for the foresseable future.

Carroll, 64, was hired by the Seahawks back in 2010. Since taking the job, Carroll has led the team to a record of 60-36 (62.5 percent) to go along with four playoff appearances, two trips to Super Bowls and a Championship in 2013.

We’ll have more regarding a new deal for Carroll as the news is available.
