Seahawks Hosted RB George Winn For Visit Monday

Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that the Seahawks hosted free agent RB George Winn for a visit on Monday.

Winn, 25, originally signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati back in 2013. He lasted just a few days with Houston before he was cut and later signed by the Patriots.

Since then, Winn has played for the Raiders, Steelers and Cowboys before the Lions signed him to a contract in July of 2014. The Lions brought him back on a one-year exclusive rights deal before cutting him coming out of the preseason.

Winn was on and off of the Lions’ practice squad before signing on to the Giants’ taxi squad at the end of October. New York cut Winn loose last week.

Last year, Winn was active for seven games and totaled four rushing attempts for just a single yard and no touchdowns.
