Seahawks Hosting DT Brandon Thompson For A Visit

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN is reporting that the Seahawks are bringing in Bengals free agent DT Brandon Thompson for a visit on Monday.

Seattle continues to shop around for defensive tackle depth in free agency after Brandon Mebane agreed to terms with the Chargers.

Thompson, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Bengals back in 2012. He has played out the final year of his four-year, $2,636,200 rookie contract and is now testing the market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time.

Thompson’s 2015 season came to an end after he sustained a season-ending ACL tear and was subsequently placed on injured reserve.

Last year, Thompson appeared nine games and recording eight tackles and a half sack for the Bengals.
