Seahawks Hosting Veteran C Chris Myers For A Visit Monday

ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported that the Seahawks are hosting veteran C Chris Myers for a visit on Monday.

Since being released by the Texans in a move that cleared $6 million in available cap space, Myers has reportedly found interest from the Broncos and Raiders.

Seattle has been meeting with a number of free agents in recent weeks, so it’s hard to gauge their level of interest in the free agents they’re hosting.

However, the Seahawks traded away Max Unger to acquire TE Jimmy Graham and could really use some help at center. For what it’s worth, they’ve also met with Stefan Wisniewski in recent weeks.

Myers, 33, was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 16 center in the league last season out of 41 qualifying players. It’s worth mentioning that he hasn’t missed a single game in the last nine years.
