Seahawks Hosting Veteran WR Brandon Marshall For Visit

Jordan Raanan of ESPN reports that the Seahawks are hosting free agent WR Brandon Marshall for a visit.

Adam Schefter mentions that the Seahawks and Marshall could prove to be a good fit for one another, considering that Seattle lost both WR Paul Richardson and TE Jimmy Graham in free agency and Marshall has never played in a playoff game.

This is the first reported interest in Marshall since he became available last month.

Marshall, 34, is a former fourth-round pick by the Broncos in the 2009 NFL Draft. After four years in Denver, he was traded to the Dolphins in 2010. Marshall’s time in Miami was limited to just two season before he was once again traded, this time to the Bears in return for two third-round picks.

In total, Marshall spent three seasons with the Bears, but was traded for a third time to the Jets in March of 2015. Marshall was in the final year of his contract when the Jets released him last offseason and he later signed a two-year, $12 million with the Giants.

However, the Giants released him back in April.

In 2017, Marshall appeared in five games and caught 18 passes for 154 yards receiving and no touchdowns for the Giants before he was placed on injured reserve.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
