Multiple Teams Interested In Trading For Tarvaris Jackson?

Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports reports that several teams have interest in Seahawks QB Tarvaris Jackson including: the Packers, Dolphins, Vikings and Chargers.

Cole adds that Jackson’s availability assumes that both Matt Flynn and Russell Wilson finish this week’s game without suffering injury.

It will be interesting to see the level of interest from these three teams and what they’re willing to part with in return for Jackson. Previous reports have mentioned that Jackson is willing to renegotiate his current contract, which would likely be an impediment if it’s not not addressed.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Seattle Seahawks have informed backup QB Tarvaris Jackson that the team will be looking to trade him this week.

With Matt Flynn likely to win the starting job and rookie Russel Wilson making impressive strides, the team no longer needs to keep Jackson and his $4 million salary on their books. Jackson will almost certainly have to renegotiate his current deal to facilitate a trade out of Seattle.

The Packers are continually mentioned as being a possible option for any available quarterback, so that’s at least one possibility.
