Seahawks Place LB Mike Morgan On I.R. & Cut OT Terry Poole

The Seattle Seahawks officially placed LB Mike Morgan on injured reserve Monday and waived OT Terry Poole from injured reserve.

  • The Seahawks also waived QB Jake Heaps from their practice squad.

Morgan, 28, wound up signing on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of USC back in 2011. He signed a one-year, $1 million contract with Seahawks back in March which included a $200,000 signing bonus.

In 2016, Morgon has appeared in three games and recorded four tackles for the Seahawks.

Heaps, 24, originally signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Miami in May of last year. However, he was placed on waivers as they were coming out of the preseason.

Heaps later caught on with the Seahawks back in May but was once again unable to make the 53-man roster. Seattle signed him to their practice squad a few weeks later.

Heaps has yet to appear in an NFL game.
