Seahawks Place TE Zach Miller On Season-Ending I.R.

Seattle Seahawks HC Pete Carroll told reporters on Wednesday that they will be placing TE Zach Miller on season-ending injured reserve, per Bob Condotta.

Miller hasn’t appeared in a game since he suffered an ankle injury back in Week 3 and later underwent a procedure towards the end of September.

It was clear that Miller was going to miss some time with this injury, but there appeared to at least be a chance he could return at some point this season.

Seattle will be forced to move forward with Luke WillsonCooper Helfet, and recently signed Tony Moeaki at tight end.

Miller, 28, is in the fourth year of his five-year, $34 million contract that included $17 million guaranteed. He’ll make a bas salary of $2.8 million for the 2015 season, but he also has a $2 million roster bonus.

His 2014 season ends with him catching six passes for 76 yards and no touchdowns over the course of three games.
