Seahawks Placing TE Jimmy Graham & RB Thomas Rawls On PUP List

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll announced that they are placing TE Jimmy Graham and RB Thomas Rawls on the active/PUP list to open training camp, per Bob Condotta.

Players placed on the active/PUP list can return to practice once activated. However, if they remain on PUP list to start the regular season, they would miss at least the first six weeks.

This shouldn’t come as a big surprise, considering that Carroll hinted that both players could end up on the list in the coming days.

Graham, 29, came over in a trade with the Saints that sent C Max Unger and a first-round pick to New Orleans. He’s in the third year of his four-year, $40 million contract that included $20.9 million guaranteed and will make a base salary of $8.9 million for the 2016 season.

Graham’s 2015 season came to an end after he sustained patellar tendon tear, and was subsequently placed on season-ending injured reserve.

In 2015, Graham caught 48 passes for 605 yards receiving and two touchdowns over the course of 11 games for the Seahawks.
