Seahawks Promoting RB Mike Davis To Active Roster

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media is reporting that the Seahawks are promoting RB Mike Davis to their active roster on Tuesday.

Davis, 24, was taken in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL draft by the. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.28 million rookie contract and stands to make base salaries of $615,000 and $705,000 over the next two years of the agreement.

The Seahawks claimed him off of waivers from the 49ers back in May but he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason. Seattle later added Davis to their practice squad.

In 2016, Davis appeared in eight games for the 49ers and rushed for 50 yards on 19 carries (2.6 YPC) to go along with three receptions for 25 yards receiving and one touchdown.
