Seahawks RB C.J.Prosise Could Return For Playoffs

According to Bob Condotta, Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said RB C.J. Prosise has a six-week timetable for recovery from an ankle sprain and “could be a candidate” to return for the playoffs.

The Seahawks placed Prosise on the injured reserve earlier today, but Carroll added that is a “race” between Prosise and RB Chris Carson to see who can return the fastest.

Yesterday, Carroll indicated that “there’s a chance” Carson returns from a leg fracture in December. (NFLTR)

Prosise, 23, is a former third-round pick by the Seahawks out of Notre Dame in the 2016 NFL Draft. He is in the second year of a four-year, $3.11 million rookie contract and is set to earn a base salary of $565,000 this season.

So far this season, Prosise has appeared in five games for Seattle and recorded 11 carries for 23 yards (2.1 YPC) to go along with six receptions for 87 yards (14.5 YPC) and no total touchdowns.
