Seahawks Re-Sign ERFA RB J.D. McKissic

The Seattle Seahawks announced Friday that exclusive rights free agent RB J.D. McKissic signed his one-year tender for the 2018 season.

McKissic, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas State back in 2016. He was, unfortunately, waived coming out of the preseason but was later signed to the Falcons’ practice squad.

Atlanta waived McKissic towards the end of the 2016 season and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Seahawks.

In 2017, McKissic appeared in 13 games for the Seahawks and rushed for 187 yards on 46 carries (4.1 YPC) to go along with 34 receptions for 266 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 44 running back out of 58 qualifying players.
