Seahawks Re-Signing QB Austin Davis

The Seattle Seahawks are re-signing QB Austin Davis to a new contract on Monday before the start of the team’s offseason program, according to Mike Garafolo.

Garafolo adds that the signing of Davis won’t end the Seahawks’ talks with free agent QB Colin Kaepernick and that situation is still in a holding pattern right now.

Davis worked out for the Jaguars this offseason.

Davis, 28, originally signed on with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Miss back in 2012. He lasted just over a year with the Rams before signing on to the Dolphins’ practice squad at the start of the 2013 season.

After returning to the Rams for a few years, Davis bounced around with the Browns and Broncos before eventually signing on with the Seahawks in June of last year.

In 2017, Davis appeared in three games for the Seahawks.
