Seahawks Roster Cuts Including CB Brandon Browner

The Seattle Seahawks have begun the process of trimming their roster down to 75 players. Here’s the full list of roster cuts up to this point:

  • C Patrick Lewis 
  • CB Brandon Browner
  • FB Kyle Coleman
  • WR Montario Hunter
  • DE DeAngelo Tyson
  • OL Kristjan Sokoli
  • RB Zac Brooks
  • LB Quayshawn Nealy
  • LB Pete Robertson
  • RB Zac Brooks

Other roster moves include:

Lewis, 25, originally signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M back in 2013. He lasted just a few months in Green Bay before catching on with the Browns, Jaguars, and Seahawks.

The Seahawks re-signed Lewis to a one-year, $1.671 million contract back in April.

In 2015, Lewis appeared in nine games for the Seahawks and played a total of 741 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.

Browner, 32, was in the second year of his three-year, $15 million contract that included $7.75 million guaranteed with the Saints and was set to make a base salary of $2.75 million in 2016 when he was cut loose.

The Seahawks later re-signed Browner to a one-year, $760,000 contract contract this past April.

In 2015, Browner appeared in all 16 games and recorded 76 tackles, one interception, a fumble recovery and 10 pass defenses for the Saints. Pro Football Focus rated him as their last place cornerback out of 111 qualifying players from last season.
