Seahawks Restructure S Jeron Johnson’s Contract

 

ESPN’s John Clayton reports that the Seahawks have restructured the contract of safety Jeron Johnson.

  • Clayton adds that Johnson’s one-year deal can be worth as much as $2 million next season.
  • This move will ensure Johnson’s roster spot for the 2014 season, according to Clayton.

Johnson, 25, was set to make $2.187 million after the team placed a second-round tender on him back in March.

Last year, six tackles over the course of seven games, but was a large contributor on special teams.
