Seahawks Sign 11 To Futures Deals Including CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste

The Seattle Seahawks officially signed CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste to a future/reserve contract on Monday.

The Seahawks also signed RB Brandon Cottom, DB George Farmer, WR Deshon Foxx, WR Antwan Goodley, DT Justin Hamilton, C Drew Nowak, DE Will Pericak, DB Trovon Reed, DB Robert Smith, and DE DeAngelo Tyson.

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and training camp.

Jean-Baptiste, 25, was cut loose at the start of the regular season, despite the fact that New Orleans used a second-round pick on him just a year ago.

After passing through waivers, Jean-Baptiste signed on to the Lions’ practice squad. However, he was waived close to a month ago before later joining the Seahawks’ practice squad.

In 2014, Jean-Baptiste appeared in four games for the Saints, but didn’t record a single statistic. This season, has yet to be active for a single game.
