Seahawks Sign LB L.J. Fort & FB Will Tukuafu

The Seattle Seahawks announced Wednesday that they have signed LB L.J. Fort and FB Will Tukuafu to their active roster.

Fort, 24, was signed to their practice squad close to a week ago. He originally signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Northern Iowa back in 2012.

Fort was unable to make the Browns’ roster during his rookie season, but later signed a future/reserve contract with the Broncos in December of last year.

He hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since 2012 when he recorded 20 tackles, one sack, an interception and three passes defended over the course of 16 games.

Tukuafu, 30, actually signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon back in 2010. However, he was cut loose just a few weeks later and ended up with the 49ers.

Tukuafu played three seasons for San Francisco before he was released with an injury settlement before the start of the 2014 regular season.
