Seahawks To Sign OL Luke Joeckel To One-Year Deal

Adam Schefter reports that the Seahawks are signing OL Luke Joeckel to a one-year contract.

Joeckel, 24, was taken with the No. 2 overall pick by the Jaguars back in 2013. He’s finished the final year of his four-year, $21.2 million contract and made a base salary of $3,296,127 for the 2016 season.

The Jaguars declined to pick up Joeckel’s fifth-year option back in May.

He, unfortunately, sustained a season-ending knee injury back in October that included an MCL injury, meniscus tear and a possible ACL tear

In 2016, Joeckel appeared in just four games for the Jaguars before landing on the injured reserve.
