The Seattle Seahawks officially signed QB Jake Heaps to a contract on Monday.
This is notable, considering that the Seahawks had just Russell Wilson on their roster at quarterback entering the draft last week.
Reports have said that they could still re-sign veteran Tarvaris Jackson in the coming months, so it’s likely that Heaps will be a camp arm for them.
Heaps, 24, originally signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Miami in May of last year. However, he was placed on waivers as they were coming out of the preseason.
Heaps has yet to appear in an NFL game.
