Seahawks Sign Second-Round Pick OT Justin Britt

Seahawks second-round pick OT Justin Britt announced via his Twitter account Thursday that he has officially signed his rookie contract.

Britt receives a four-year contract is worth an estimated $3,456,930 which includes a signing bonus of $834,132, according to OverTheCap.com.

Seattle still has three more rookies to address, but it shouldn’t take long to get their 2014 draft class under contract.

There were reports that the Seahawks wanted to add some depth at offensive line in the draft, so it wasn’t all that surprising to see them look that direction as earlier as the second round.

Britt could end up being a long-term replacement at right tackle for Michael Bowie, depending of course on how he progresses in the coming months. He offers good size at 6-foot-5 7/8 and even has decent athleticism for such a big man.
