Seahawks Sign Second-Round Pick WR Paul Richardson

Seahawks second-round selection WR Paul Richardson announced via his Twitter account Tuesday that he has signed his rookie contract.

According to our tracker, Richardson is the fifth draft pick out of Seattle’s nine selections to sign. OvertheCap.com has Richardson’s contract valued at roughly $4.7 million and includes a $1.7 million signing bonus.

Richardson offers exceptional speed and athleticism, but isn’t exactly the biggest receiver. He weighed in at a slight 175 pounds, so it will be interesting to see what kind of role he’ll have with the Seahawks in the coming years.

It’s worth mentioning that Richardson suffered multiple knee tears during his college career. However, he totaled 156 receptions for 2,412 yards receiving and 21 touchdowns at Colorado.
