Travis Beckum announced via his Instagram account that he has signed with the Seattle Seahawks.
Beckum, 27, is former third-round pick of the New York Giants, but hasn’t seen any game action since the 2012 season. His best season in the NFL came in 2010 when he caught 13 receptions for 116 yards and two touchdowns.
He unfortunately tore his ACH during Super Bowl XLVI and was later placed on the physically unable to perform list at the start of the 2012 regular season.
Current Seahawks TE Zach Miller is candidate to either restructure his contract or possibly be released in the coming weeks, so Seattle could use some depth at tight end. Although it seems unlikely that they would guarantee Beckum a roster at this point in time.
