Seahawks Sign DT A.J. Francis & LB Alex Singleton To Practice Squad

The Seattle Seahawks signed DT A.J. Francis and LB Alex Singleton to their practice squad on Thursday, according to the NFL transactions release.

Francis, 25, signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Maryland back in 2013. He was unable to make the 53-man roster during his rookie and was waived at the start of the season.

After a brief stint with the Patriots and Dolphins, the Seahawks claimed him off of waivers a few weeks ago. However, he was waived earlier in the week.

This season, Francis has appeared in one game and recorded a single tackle for the Dolphins.

Singleton, 21, wound up signing on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Montana State shortly after this year’s NFL draft. However, he was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason before later signing on to the Patriots’ practice squad a few days into the season.

New England would end up releasing Singleton just one week later.

During the preseason, Singleton recorded nine tackles over the course of four games.
