Seahawks Signing Panthers TE Ed Dickson To Three-Year Deal Worth Up To $14M

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Seahawks have reached an agreement with Ed Dickson.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that Dickson gets a three-year contract worth up to $14 million with the first year being guaranteed.

The Panthers had interest in re-signing Dickson, but it became clear over the past 24 hours that he was likely going to be signing with the Seahawks.

Dickson, 30, is a former third-round pick of the Panthers back in 2010. He spent four years in Baltimore before signing on with the Panthers for the 2014 season.

Dickson just played out the final year of his three-year, $6,100,000 contract with the Panthers and was once again testing the open marker as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2017, Dickson appeared in all 16 games for the Panthers and caught 30 passes for 437 yards receiving and one touchdown. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 32 tight end out of 72 qualifying players.
