Williams, 24, originally signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of East Carolina back in May of last year. He was, unfortunately, waived coming out of the preseason but later signed on to the Rams’ practice squad.
The Rams elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract this past January before cutting him loose last week.
During his college career, Williams caught 96 passes for 1,040 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns over the course of 33 games.
