Seahawks In Talks With CB Byron Maxwell About Return To Seattle

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the Seahawks are in talks with free agent CB Byron Maxwell about returning to Seattle for the 2018 season.

In 2017, Maxwell appeared in nine games and recorded 46 tackles, one interception, two forced fumbles and seven pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 25 cornerback out of 120 qualifying players.

Maxwell, 29, is a former sixth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2011. He signed a six-year, $63 million contract that included $25 million guaranteed with the Eagles as a free agent before he was later traded to the Dolphins along with LB Kiko Alonso.

Maxwell was set to make a base salary of $10 million for the 2017 season when the Dolphins released him during the season and he later signed on with the Seahawks to finish out the year. Maxwell is currently an unrestricted free agent.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
