Dan Quinn: “Zero Chance” Of Steve Sarkisian Leaving For Seahawks’ OC Job

Falcons HC Dan Quinn told reporters on Wednesday that there’s “zero chance” of OC Steve Sarkisian leaving for the Seahawks’ offensive coordinator job, per Vaughn McClure.

According to Jason La Canfora, many in coaching circles expect current Falcons OC Steve Sarkisian to end up with the Seahawks as their new offensive coordinator, replacing Darrell Bevell.

If this were to happen, La Canfora mentions that Jedd Fisch could emerge as the top candidate for the Falcons to replace Sarkisian.

Sarkisian has tied to Seahawks HC Pete Carroll from their time together at USC, but this is an interesting suggestion, considering that he’s spent just one year with the Falcons as their offensive coordinator.

Sarkisian, 43, began his coaching career at El Camino College back in 2000 as their QBs coach. He left to join USC as their QBs coach the following year.

Since then, Sarkisian has worked for the Raiders, the University of Washington, and Alabama to go along with a few stints with USC. The Falcons hired him as their offensive coordinator last year.

In 2017, the Falcons’ offense ranked No. 8 in total yards, No. 15 in points scored, No. 13 in rushing yards and No. 8 in passing yards.
