The Seahawks have officially re-signed DL Jesse Williams to a contract, according to the NFL transactions release.

Former Seahawks DL Jesse Williams tells the Tom Boswell of the Courier-Mail that he has restructured his contract and will be re-signing with Seattle.

The club has restructured my contract and I’ll be heading back in two to three weeks,” Williams said while in Australia. “It’s been good to come back in the off-season and catch up with my family and friends.

“I’ll keep training while I’m home before going back to camp and back to work.

“We will have the 17 week season and playoffs and hopefully the Super Bowl. We have been there the last two years and hopefully we will get to a third one.

Williams, 24, is a former fifth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2013 out of Alabama. He had two years remaining on his four-year, $2.37 million rookie contract when the Seahawks waived him a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately for Williams, he has yet to appear in an NFL game after he spent the first two years of his career on Seattle’s injured reserve list.
