Seahawks trade DE Jackson to Lions

Adam Schfter is reporting that the Seattle Seahawks have trade defensive end Lawrence Jackson to the Lions for an undisclosed draft pick in 2011. Jackson was a former first-round pick of the Seahawks and played for head coach Pete Carroll at USC.

This news comes one day after Seattle traded for Kentwan Balmer from the San Fransisco 49ers. Jackson has managed a mere 7 sacks in his first few years with the Seahawks and Pete Carroll has already made it quite clear that his former USC players will not receive any special treatment from his new team.
